Loosing an animal is never easy, even when it’s one that you aren’t extremely close too. Tonight I lost my market doe that I worked my butt off to get to lead and brace. I wasn’t only upset I lost a goat, I was upset because my hard work on this goat was never shown. I wanted to walk in the show ring and prove this goat could lead and prove this goat would set up like a good lookin’ market doe. We save some, we loose some, but it never gets any easier. I did learn through this experience that even if I didn’t get to prove to other people I can work my butt off to make a goat cooperate, that I proved to myself that I can take a challenging task and take it… even if it doesn’t workout the way I want too. Everything happens for a reason, and I just keep that in my head especially as livestock and living on a farm can be a challenging. RIP Raven.
